Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

No data leaves your device. Focus Check does not send anything over the network.
No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. There's nothing to sign in to and nothing being measured.
You control your results. Everything is stored locally and can be cleared at any time from within the extension.

Overview

Focus Check ("the extension") is a Chrome side-panel extension that offers a self-screening questionnaire related to adult ADHD symptoms. This policy explains what information the extension handles, how it is stored, and what it is used for.

Information we collect

Focus Check does not collect any personal information, and does not have a server, backend, or any third-party analytics integration of any kind. The only information the extension handles is the data you generate by using it:

This information never leaves your browser. It is not transmitted to Anthropic, to the developer of this extension, or to any other party.

How your data is stored

Results are saved using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API, which keeps data locally on your device, tied to your Chrome profile. This is the same mechanism used by many browser extensions to remember settings. No cloud sync, external database, or remote storage is used.

Permissions used

The extension does not request access to your browsing history, the content of web pages, your location, camera, microphone, or any other browser data.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any data, because no data is ever collected from you in the first place beyond what's described above and stored on your own device.

Your control over your data

You can view your saved test history at any time from within the extension, and you can permanently delete all saved results using the "Clear all" option on the history screen. Uninstalling the extension also removes all locally stored data.

Children's privacy

Focus Check is not directed at children and is not intended to be used by children. It is intended for adults evaluating their own attention-related symptoms.

Medical disclaimer

Focus Check is an informational self-screening tool only. It is not a medical device and does not provide a medical diagnosis. Only a licensed healthcare professional can diagnose ADHD. If your results concern you, please consult a doctor or mental health professional.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the extension adds new functionality that handles data differently — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
