MBTI Personality Test — Chrome Extension

Short version: This extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All of your answers and results stay stored locally in your own browser and are never sent to any server.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how the MBTI Personality Test browser extension ("the Extension", "we", "our") handles information when you install and use it. The Extension is a personality-type quiz that runs entirely inside a Chrome side panel.

2. Information we do not collect

The Extension does not use any remote servers, analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. Specifically, we do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

Your name, email address, or any other personal identifiers
Your quiz answers or personality-type results
Browsing history, visited websites, or page content
IP address, device identifiers, or location data
Any usage statistics or analytics events

3. Data stored on your device

The Extension uses the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local API to save:

Your saved test results (personality type code and the date you saved it), if you choose to tap "Save result"
Your selected display language

This data is stored only on your own device, inside your browser profile. It is never uploaded, synced to an external server, or made accessible to us or to any third party. Deleting a saved result (or uninstalling the Extension) permanently removes this data from your device.

4. Permissions we request

storage — lets the Extension save your test history and language preference locally, as described above.
sidePanel — lets the Extension display its interface in Chrome's side panel.

The Extension does not request permission to read your browsing activity, access other websites, or communicate over the network.

5. Third parties

We do not share any information with third parties, because we do not collect any information to share. The Extension contains no embedded trackers, ad SDKs, or third-party scripts.

6. Children's privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since no data ever leaves your device.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the Extension adds a new feature that affects data handling — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
