Royal 21 Blackjack — Chrome Extension

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Royal 21 Blackjack Chrome extension ("the Extension", "we", "our") handles when you install and use it. We built this Extension to be a self-contained, offline card game, and this policy reflects that: there is no server behind it, no account, and nothing to sign up for.

In short: the Extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything it stores stays on your own device.

1. Information We Collect

The Extension does not collect any personal information, browsing history, or activity from other tabs or websites. It has no analytics, no advertising SDK, and makes no network requests of any kind.

The only data the Extension handles is the game data it needs to function, which is generated entirely by your own gameplay:

Your in-game bankroll and current bet amount
The state of the current hand (cards dealt, split/double/insurance status)
Simple play statistics used for the in-app rating/leaderboard view (e.g. hands played, win streak)
Your selected display language

None of this data identifies you personally — it is just numbers and game state needed to let you close the side panel and pick up where you left off.

2. How This Data Is Stored

All game data is saved locally using the browser's chrome.storage.local API (with a plain localStorage fallback). This means:

Data is stored only on your own device, inside your Chrome profile.
Nothing is uploaded to us or to any third party — we don't operate any servers that the Extension talks to.
Data is not synced across devices unless Chrome's own built-in sync settings do so on your behalf, outside of the Extension's control.
Uninstalling the Extension, or clearing its storage from Chrome's settings, permanently deletes this data.

3. Permissions We Request

Permission	Why it's needed
`storage`	To save your bankroll, current bet, and preferences locally so your progress isn't lost when you close the side panel.
`sidePanel`	To display the blackjack table in Chrome's side panel instead of a popup or a new tab.

The Extension does not request host permissions, and it cannot read the content of the pages you browse, your history, cookies, or any other browser data.

4. Third Parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose any data to third parties, because we do not collect any data to begin with. The Extension does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind.

5. Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since it stores only local, non-identifying game state on-device.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the Extension adds a new feature that changes what data is stored — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
