Media Saver for IG lets you download photos, videos, Reels, and Stories directly from Instagram, right from your browser. This policy explains what data the extension touches, where it goes, and what it never does.
While you browse Instagram, the extension adds a download button on top of photos, videos, Reels, Stories, carousels, and profile pages you're already viewing, so you can save that media to your device in one click — including bulk-downloading all media from a profile.
Media Saver for IG runs entirely on your device. To show the download button and fetch the media you click on, it reads the Instagram page you have open in your browser — the same content your account already has access to and is already displaying to you. That processing happens locally, in your browser, and the resulting file is written straight to your device's storage.
The extension does not:
The extension may remember a small amount of preference data locally on your device — for example, your chosen download folder/location and your light/dark mode display setting — using the browser's built-in local storage. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

The extension does not request access to sites other than Instagram, and does not read or use your browsing history, location, camera, or microphone.
Media Saver for IG never asks for, stores, or transmits your Instagram username, password, or session credentials. It works alongside your existing, already-logged-in Instagram session in the browser purely to display the download button on content you can already see — it does not log in on your behalf or share your session with anyone.
This extension is a tool for saving media you already have the right to save — your own posts, or content you have the creator's permission to download. What you choose to download and how you use it is your responsibility. Media Saver for IG is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
The extension does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children, and does not transmit any data off your device.
If how the extension handles data ever changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will be revised accordingly.
