Extension: Pac Arcade · Last updated: July 22, 2026

No data ever leaves your device

Pac Arcade is a game extension for Chrome that runs in the browser's side panel. Below is a full breakdown of what data the extension uses, where it's stored, and who can access it.

1. What data is stored

The extension stores the following information locally on your device only, using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

DataPurpose
High-score table (3-character initials, score, level, date)Displays your local leaderboard
In-progress game stateLets you resume your game after closing the side panel
Selected interface languageRemembers your language choice between sessions
Sound on/off settingRemembers your sound preference

The initials entered for the leaderboard are a voluntary, freeform in-game nickname (up to 3 characters) — the extension never asks for or verifies your real name.

2. Where the data is sent

Nowhere. The extension has no backend server and does not send any data to the developer. It doesn't use analytics, ad networks, or third-party trackers. Everything listed in Section 1 stays in your browser's local storage on your own device and is deleted when the extension is uninstalled.

3. External resources

The extension's pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) for the interface typography. Loading a font causes your browser to contact Google's servers, which may involve standard technical data (such as your IP address) being handled under Google's Privacy Policy. This is the only network request the extension makes; no gameplay data is included in it.

4. Permissions used

PermissionWhy it's needed
storageSaving scores, progress, and settings locally on your device
sidePanelDisplaying the game in Chrome's side panel

The extension does not request access to open tabs' content, browsing history, location, camera, microphone, or the file system.

5. Managing and deleting your data

6. Children's privacy

The extension does not collect personal data from any user, including children. The information stored (see Section 1) is not personal data and never leaves your device.

7. Changes to this policy

If how the extension handles data ever changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will be revised accordingly.
